Manta rays are the largest rays and are closely related to sharks. These harmless rays have a relatively short tail and do not have a stinging spine.
Mantas are filter feeders, scooping up
microscopic plankton, small fish, and tiny crustaceans with two large, flap-like lobes which extend in front of their head. They funnel the food into their mouth while they swim.
They are very acrobatic and extremely graceful swimmers. They can reach lengths of up to 29 ft. across and weigh up to 3000 pounds!
Our museum quality replica is 8" across and made of high quality PVC.
Makes a great stocking stuffer, aquarium decoration, underwater diorama figurine, or bath toy.
The perfect gift for the budding marine biologist!
