We are pleased to offer this print of the Purple Bindweed (Morning Glory) from the Curtis Botanical Magazine first published by William Curtis beginning in 1787. This early engraving is Plate #113 dated March 1, 1790. Mr. Curtis was a trained pharmacist living in London, whose greater interest was the study of flora and insects. He maintained a large garden where he grew beautiful exotic plants. Highly collectible, and increasingly hard-to-find in this condition; this botanical engraving still has the original vivid coloration. Guaranteed authentic 212 year-old engraving on rag paper.
