Encourage your wild Mason Bees to pollinate plants in your yard!
Mason Bees are excellent pollinators, 120 times more effective than honey bees or bumble bees. This increased pollination will greatly improve the yield on fruit trees, raspberries, strawberries, tomatoes, squash, and other fruit bearing plants.
What are Mason Bees?
Mason Bees are found naturally all over North America. They are dark blue in color and look like large flies. Mason Bees are different than honey bees because they do not make hives and do not make honey. They normally don't sting and are safe around pets and children.
These Mason Bee habitats were designed by Oxford Bee Company, a spinout from Oxford University after years of research on the most effective shape for use by the bees. When the female Mason Bees find the tubes in these habitats, they move right in laying their eggs and are encouraged to stay in your area, pollinating your plants and benefiting your garden.
Bees are not included, but may be ordered separately below. They may also already exist in your area and will move into the homes as soon as they find them.
Mason Bees are the ultimate pollinators!
