When you don't have the time to wait for ants for your ant viewing homes (using the Ant Farm's certificate), use these as an alternative until you send away for your other ants. (Most Ant Farms and ant habitat viewing homes have an enclosed certificate for ants that is mailed to the manufacturer. We are NOT the ant source for those ants). Do not mix the two groups together as they come from different colonies and may fight. ******READ THIS-IMPORTANT NOTICE****** These live ants are sent from California and packed with a cool pack during warm weather. You may choose Priority mail (US Postal Service) during average temperatures which is supposed to take 2-3 days (according to the post office), but there is no guaranteed delivery date or tracking for this method. Express mail is guaranteed delivery and provides tracking. ****We do not ship live insects outside of the U.S.*** We cannot be responsible for fatalities during transit in very cold or hot weather, especially if you are not at home for delivery or have not made alternate delivery arrangements (leave a note on your door for it to be left with a neighbor, provide an insulated container on your porch with a note for them to be left inside, etc.). You understand that you are placing this order at your own risk. These animals cannot survive freezing or hot temperatures. *******If you live in a freezing area, during the winter months you MUST choose Next Day or Express shipping, you must also order a heat pack (order-able below at the bottom of this page). The heat pack will not stay warm longer than 1-2 days max. Do NOT choose Priority or other method taking more than 2 days shipping during the freezing weather if you live in freezing areas. DO NOT ask us to have delivery person "Leave outside the door if no one home". We reserve the right to not ship live ants if you have incorrectly chosen an unsafe, or non-allowed method of shipment for winter shipping. It is also not a good idea to order candy in the same order that a heat pack is included.********* We mainly ship out on the next Monday or Tuesday following your order weather permitting in your location. Expect delays on this time during holidays. Date of shipping will depend on day of week you placed your order and method of shipping chosen, weather conditions and whether or not we have run out of our weekly supply of ants. If the order is received here by Sunday P.M., then it will ship that Monday or Tuesday. If your order is received after Monday, 8:00 A.M. Pacific time, then it will ship the following week. Orders must be placed online as they are shipped on a first come basis. Do NOT choose Ground shipping if you live east of the Rockies, as this method will take too long. | If temperatures are hot in your area, and you have ordered live insects, it is recommended that you choose a cold pack during hot weather and choose an EXPRESS shipping method or we will delay your shipping. These ice packs will not stay cold longer than a day. The insects can cook to death if they are left outside in the heat. These packs are also good for keeping your chocolate orders cool. |
