Antique Botanical Print <br>1787 Original Curtis <br> Coronilla

Hand colored antique botanical copperplate engraving from England in excellent condition.

We are pleased to offer this print of the Coronilla from the Curtis Botanical Magazine first published by William Curtis beginning in 1787. This engraving is Plate # 13 from 1787, one of the earliest Curtis botanical engravings.

Mr. Curtis was a trained pharmacist living in London, whose greater interest was the study of flora and insects. He maintained a large garden where he grew beautiful exotic plants.

Highly collectible, and increasingly hard-to-find in this condition; this botanical engraving still has the original vivid coloration. Guaranteed authentic 217 year-old engraving on rag paper. The original text page will accompany this engraving.

Antique engravings are a unique gift idea and make a fine complement to any home or office.

Print size is 5 1/2" x 9 1/4".
